In addition to the meals that our Kitchen team prepare and serve the children, our Head Chef also runs extra-curricular cooking sessions.
Our focus is always to teach children why a balanced meal is important and we encourage the use of all 5 senses and develop their fine motor skills by enabling them to prepare their own culinary delights. They also learn about different foods – exploring the texture, colours and tastes, as well as learning about where different ingredients come from and how they grow.
The children create a wide variety of savoury and sweet items and even themed ones that celebrate different festivals during the year. The children love to see the results of their efforts.
